All About Mrs. Killion
I was born in San Fernando, CA and lived in Saugus, CA (north of Los Angeles) until just after I finished seventh grade. We moved to the desert town of Blythe and lived there for four years. Then we moved to Diamond Bar, where I finished high school. I went to college for four years in Spokane,WA at Whitworth College (now Whitworth University). Then I moved to Ellensburg, WA to work on a teaching degree. My first job was as a librarian in a Christian school in San Bruno, CA. After three years I moved to a public school library position in the Hayward Unified School District. I married Bill and became a step-mom to three girls: Shannon, Meighan, and Haleigh. We moved to Anaheim for five years and then back to the Bay Area where Bill finished his Coast Guard career. In 1999 we moved to Elko to start a chruch. I substituted for a year and then became librarian at Grammar School #2. Bill became pastor at Elko First Baptist (now called Greater Life Church), and I moved to the library at Mtn. View beginning with the 2008-2009 school year.
We have two dogs, both boxers. One is named Trip (he's called that because he's our third boxer - Trip is short for Triple). The younger boxer is Duke. I love to read (of course!), and usually enjoy that more than watching TV. I do like watching a few shows, however, including PBS' mystery shows, detective shows, and home improvement/decorating shows. Other things that take up my time are church activities (especially playing keyboard and singing), exercising, playing with the dogs, working on our photo albums, and household duties. I like to wear fun earrings and socks - one way I stay young at heart!
